WORKING TOGETHER

Welcome. If you are looking at this website, then I imagine that you are looking for help. Help because…

  • You find yourself running up against the same challenges in your life over and over again.

  • You feel disconnected or isolated from your spouse or loved ones.

  • You feel overwhelmed by the chaos of anxiety or the weight of depression.

  • You want to learn new, effective, and healthier ways of coping with stress.

  • You and your partner keep having the same argument in the same way, without any progress in sight.

  • You keep getting the same feedback from different people; your spouse, your friends, your family, or even your co-workers.

  • You feel like your marriage is falling apart or even on the brink.

  • You want to learn new ways to communicate and resolve issues.

  • Either you or your spouse has brought up the topic of divorce.

  • You are depleted and discouraged because this has gone on so long and you have little hope that things can really change.

We all have a deep desire to feel understood, confident, and hopeful. We all innately need to feel loved, cherished and connected. However, there are many things that can get in the way; anger, anxiety, depression, entrenched patterns, trauma, attachment wounds, lifestyle, expectations and disappointments….

Look, I get it. No one has time, money, or energy to waste. However, if you are looking at this website, then I imagine that you don’t want to waste any more time, money or energy living this way.

Guess what…you don’t have to!

With respect and compassion, I will help you recognize and identify the patterns and beliefs that are getting in your way. With warmth and insight, I will give you precise and direct feedback regarding these patterns and beliefs so that you can choose what you really want for your life and the life of your loved ones.

I agree, there is no time, money or energy to waste…so let’s get to work!  Contact me to set up a time to discuss your needs and the services I offer.

ABOUT BRIDGET

I have a passion for healing and transcending the challenges of life. I believe in the inherent goodness and light in each and every one of us. I appreciate that each of us has an innate desire and ability to be our best self. Yet, I recognize that there are countless obstacles that get in our way, deterring us from being our best selves and connecting with our loved ones.

In 2005, I completed a masters program in Human Services with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Services.  I was powerfully drawn to working with couples because couples therapy creates a challenging opportunity to guide two individuals towards understanding and healing their personal wounds while providing space for them to connect more deeply with each other.

For the past 10 years, I have worked closely with Bill Doherty, PhD and Steve Harris, PhD on the Minnesota Couples on the Brink Project, with the primary mission to develop and disseminate best practices to help couples who are uncertain about divorce or rebuilding their marriage. As the Project Coordinator and one of the staff Discernment Counselors, I have been integral in refining, training and practicing the Discernment Counseling protocol, which specifically creates space for these overwhelming yet significant questions. For more information regarding Discernment Counseling, click here

With the goal of personal exploration and mastery, managing my emotions, and living intentionally and with purpose, I have practiced yoga for the past 15 years. My teachers include Yogarupa, Rod Styker, of Parayoga, Tanya Boigenzahn, Chanti Tarcoronte-Perez, Lucy Pirner, and Lisa Bergly. My personal practice directly informs my work as a therapist.

Last year, I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training and am currently enrolled in a 300 hour yoga teacher training to learn skills to teach and integrate mind and body techniques into therapy. These techniques provide alternative ways to access your deepest desires and most entrenched deterrents to fulfilling those desires. I weave in and teach breathing techniques, meditation, imagery and even movement to give you specific tools to use at home for grounding, digesting, clarifying and transforming.

I am married with two children and live in Hudson, WI. I enjoy traveling with my husband and children, playing outdoors, listening to and dancing to live music with positive vibes, practicing yoga and just loving life!
